The mission of Michigan Workforce Empowerment Foundation (MWEF) is to strengthen Michigan’s workforce by creating real and sustainable employment opportunities, advancing skills development, and supporting economic stability.
MWEF is committed to empowering unemployed individuals and youth through workforce training, employer partnerships, and direct pathways to meaningful, long-term jobs that support self-sufficiency and community growth.

We aspire to build a resilient workforce where unemployed individuals and youth are empowered to achieve economic independence, contribute productively to their communities, and participate fully in a stable and inclusive economy.
Our Charitable Purpose
Michigan Workforce Empowerment Foundation (MWEF) is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation’s charitable purpose is to advance workforce development, promote economic self-sufficiency, and reduce unemployment by providing workforce training, employment readiness services, and direct pathways to real and sustainable employment for unemployed individuals and youth.
MWEF pursues its purpose by collaborating with employers, community organizations, and public agencies to support job placement, skills development, and workforce participation. All activities are conducted in furtherance of the Foundation’s charitable mission and do not result in private inurement or benefit to any individual or organization.
